What level of security i Want?

So far we have chosen – Elecronic lock and iButton electronic keys, and the type of unlocking from the inside. The last thing is to choose the level of security.

Standard systems

Standard systems are the most common. They are cheap and easily accessible. If you lose a key, you can easily get a second one from the first locksmith. Standard systems are recommended for places where there isn’t a high level of security required, and you have trust in the occupants of the building that they will not copy and distribute electronic keys without your knowledge.

Encrypted systems

Encrypted systems have a high level of security, as electronic keys cannot be copied. Such a system consists of encrypted keys and encrypted controller. The advantage is that encrypted keys can work also with standard systems!

For example if you have encrypted access control system on your home door (with BK519x), and standard system on your shared entrance door (with BK419x), the Encrypted key can work with both of them. A standard key can work only with the standard system on the entrance door. If a copy is made from the original Encrypted key, the copy will work only with the standard system, but not with the encrypted system in your home door.
